Six ride
home.
Reditu watches over the group while you ride and only asks for your attention when something really happens. A strip on top of your sat nav, no switching apps and both hands on the bars.
Android · free during the beta · sign in with Google or your email
A red light, a lorry, a badly taken roundabout, and suddenly twenty minutes have gone by and you've no idea if the last rider is still behind you or in trouble.
The usual drill: pull onto the hard shoulder, fish your phone out with your gloves on, call four people and wait. Reditu exists so those twenty minutes never happen again.
The whole group in one strip
Reditu doesn't replace your maps app: it sits on top of it. Stick with your usual sat nav or keep your phone in your pocket; it'll warn you either way. The strip tells you at a glance how the group is doing. Tap each moment to see it.
Three steps
and off you go
- 1
Create the group
Give it a name and Reditu gives you a code. No card, no long sign-up.
- 2
Send it to the WhatsApp group or show it at the meeting point. Everyone enters the code and they're in with two taps.
- 3
Start the ride
Fire up your usual sat nav and get going. Reditu stays up top, keeping quiet, until it's needed.

Silent by default
An hour of bends without a hitch means zero sounds, zero buzzes and zero notifications. Keeping quiet when nothing's happening is harder than it looks.

Voice alerts
You hear ‘Fernando has been stopped for three minutes’ over the intercom, just like a sat nav instruction. No need to look at your phone.
Group threshold
It only speaks up if someone has been stopped, on their own and behind you, for as many minutes as the group agreed. A red light doesn't count as falling behind.
Alert the group
Hold it down for a couple of seconds, gloves on is fine. You get a few seconds to cancel; if you don't, the whole group knows.
Map when you stop
There's a button on the strip. Pull in for fuel, check where everyone is and carry on, and if needed drop a meeting point.
Ride history
Every drop-back, stop and alert is logged with its time, so you know what happened without relying on anyone's memory.
Rider card
Tap their dot and see how long since anyone last heard from them. From there you can call them or get directions to where they are.
If something happens,
you tell the group.
Hold down or swipe and your mates hear it straight away in their helmets, with the reason if you want to give one: puncture, breakdown or crash. Reditu doesn't call anyone outside the group: the alert stays between you.
- If the alert doesn't get through, Reditu calls the nearest rider. And if they don't answer, the next one.
- If it really comes to it, 112 is one tap away. It's your call.

Pocket mode:
phone away.
It's raining, you've got no mount, or you want your phone to make it home alive. Tap ‘More’ and then ‘Pocket mode’ on the ride screen, hear ‘Pocket mode. Put your phone away.’ and forget about the screen: what matters reaches you through your helmet.
No GPS of its own
Reditu switches its own GPS off. If you've got Maps or another sat nav open, it borrows the location that app already asks for. If not, every 10 minutes it sends a ‘still alive’ that only says when you were last seen.
Everything by voice
Things you'd normally only see get read out: ‘Abu is stopping for fuel’, ‘Fran is going to help Edgar’, ‘Edgar is OK now’, ‘Jordi is waiting for you here’, and that the ride is over. Help alerts and ‘I'm lost’ sound the same as always.
The group knows
You show up as ‘pocket mode · seen 4 min ago’. You don't count towards the group's spread or towards ‘stopped for N minutes’, so nobody turns back for you for no reason. If you ask for help or get lost, your location goes out straight away.
Why ‘alpha’
- We're trying it out with the beta group. It works, but it hasn't been through many real rides yet.
- Your dot on the map moves in jumps: whenever the sat nav asks for a location, or with the ‘still alive’ every 10 minutes. With no sat nav open, the group knows you're fine, just not exactly where.
- One tap on its card turns it off, and in the app's settings you can choose whether every ride starts this way. Android only, for now.
What Reditu does not do
We'd rather tell you here than in a one-star review.
It doesn't detect crashes on its own.
With the phone in your pocket, a bump and a crash are far too easy to mix up. We'd rather not give anyone a false scare: you send the help alert yourself.
It's not a sat nav or a route planner.
Keep using the one you've got. Reditu sits on top and leaves it alone.
It's not a chat app or a biker social network.
No wall, no likes, no messages while you ride. That's what the intercom is for.
Free. For now.
While early access lasts we charge nothing, and when it is time to pay we will not catch you out.
See what is free and what is notEverything is free now.
Even what will one day carry the Pro badge. Make the most of it, it is on the house.
Safety is free, always.
Asking for help, the separation alert, the strip, the map. Nobody should have to get their card out to ask for help.
30 days of notice, at least.
And the clock does not start until we announce the charging date. We put the stopwatch on pause on purpose.
We're in beta, and it shows
A real group is testing Reditu on the road. It works, but it changes every week. The beta is closed and only that group is taking part.
- Android 7 or later. The iPhone version will come later.
- Free for the whole beta.
- It asks for some unusual permissions, like appearing over other apps or using your location in the background. The app explains what each one is for.
Petrol station questions
Will it drain my battery?
About as much as any app with GPS. On a bike you'd normally have your phone on charge; if you don't, bear it in mind on long rides or try pocket mode, which switches off Reditu's GPS. And at the end of each ride you can see how much battery your phone used.
Does everyone have to install it?
Yes. Reditu knows where everyone is because every bike carries a phone with the app. Anyone without it won't show up on the strip.
Do you always know where I am?
Only during a ride and only with your group. When you leave or end it, you stop sharing your location. We don't store your route: while the ride lasts only your latest position exists, so your group can see it, and it's deleted as soon as the ride ends. We don't use it for anything else or give it to anyone.
Is it going to cost money?
Safety will always be free. For now so is everything else: we are in early access and we charge nothing. If one day there are paid extras, we will tell you at least 30 days ahead, and the clock does not start until we announce the date. The details, no small print, are on the early access page.
